To mark the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, National Sports Day was celebrated at The Millennium School, Sunam. 29th August is the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand the greatest Hockey player India has ever produced.

Students were made aware of the contributions of Dhyan Chand who won six Gold medals in Olympics for India and was the first Indian to achieve Padma Bhushan Award and Dronacharya Award in the field of Hockey.

Students also learnt that National Sports Day is not only celebrated in India but in other countries too. A beautiful act and choreography was performed by the kids on this special day in the remembrance of Major Dhyan Chand ji. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
